Eye Candy
The Osmonds slowed down into death metal. Yuuup...*turns head and whistles.*
Nick Ngo of The Bangerz getting down. Nice little snippet, of him reworking the, "Nigg@s In Paris" track. Hopefully it's from an upcoming full length song. Hopefully you listened to it and danced like this...
I apologize for that, that's from, "Toddlers with Tiaras." It's seriously the grossest show ever. They tell 6 year olds to do stuff like that. I also think it may be home to the highest presence of front butt on a tv show per capita. I swear every one of those moms is rocking the front butt, perhaps that's why they want their daughters to be, "pretty." It's such a disaster, the show is like a walmart that you can save on your dvr. Not something I recommend doing...unless you're into the whole front butt thing...no judging...totally judging. But in the name of science, please draw me a diagram of how that thing actually forms. I get the down part but how does it then turn on itself and create the crack? Inquiring minds want to know.
The opposite of front butts and walmart? Dudes in suits. SK loves her some suit porn and Blue Scholars are more than happy to oblige. I wish they used the beginning sample for a whole song, it has a nice groove to it. The actual song is pretty solid as well though. Looking good boys, no homo.

Mountain Man - Holy Father from LaundroMatinee on Vimeo.
I like this Mountain Man video. So, the MTV music video awards were on the other day. Jesus, is there anything else that could make you feel really fucking old? I only saw a small portion, I saw Adele nervously sing, "Someone Like You" she even let out a big breath at the end like, "Whew glad that shit's over." Gaga admitted that she had a penis and made shit really awkward with a downtrodden ghost of Britney Spear's hotness. Chris Brown was doing fight scenes, thankfully with men, while horribly lip syncing to auto-tune, for a bemused Kanye and totally uninterested Jay-z. No idea why they kept showing them. Oh, congrats on the behbay Hov!!In this little snippet I saw, when they gave awards for the actual videos, I had no fucking clue what the songs were. I could recognize the names, but I could not sing one line from one of the songs. *adjusts belt above waist, books flight to Florida* But I am not even upset about losing touch with that formerly mecca-like outpost of my youth. We have grown apart MTV, while you play your Katy Perry and Bieber videos I will be listening to Mountain Man on my phonograph and discussing the problems of the youth with Andy Rooney. Here are some more videos that were not given awards by the star of the remake of Teen Wolf, seriously?
Tv Girl is an awesome band from San Diego. They were on some Indie mix before, too lazy to research. They will also be on an upcoming one with this song.
Ring rang a dong holiday!! This song not only samples Cliff Richard's, "Summer Holiday" but Madonna's, "Holiday" as well. With my affinity for holiday music this just became an instant classic.
Cliff Richard's, "Summer Holiday" below. I believe I first heard this song on a Pringle's commercial. I have no idea who Cliff Richard's is or what this movie is, but I have had this song since the days of Napster.
I saw this on Distortion 2 Static the other day and immediately started googling dat ass. The beat, the flow, I was sold. Seriously, that beat...Although he could have used more lines like a ring a dang dong, overall I feel like it's a solid song. Rey Reurreccion and the DJ on the track, Cutso from the Bangerz, both hail from San Jose. You can actually download Rey's album for free from his site. Guaranteed that this cut will be on a hip hop mix though.
Ok Go's video for The Green Album. Featuring the Muppets on the theme song for the Muppet Show. I guess this song had to be done, but it doesn't really stand on it's own as a song you want to listen to. Theme songs that do- Three's Company, Gummi Bears, Blossom, Golden Girls...Snorks.

Apache from oneedo on Vimeo.
This is a great video done by Ned Wenlock for the band Danger Beach and their song, "Apache."
"I Got My" by Magnetic North and Taiyo Na featuring Jin. Super packed video full of Asian American performers, artists, and activists.
Three things I support come together in this video. The Bangerz formerly known as the Fingerbangerz...am I not supposed to bring that up? You think they want to leave that in the past like Marky Mark? Anyway they are an awesome DJ crew, they previously popped their heads onto this very blog here in this eye candy segment. So, Bangerz? Check, next up Mike Relm who is also a DJ in addition to being a director. I saw him do some combo visual music thing back in the day and have been a fan ever since. On top of these two things you have the fucking cherry on top the Jabawockeez. They will forever be my "America's Best Dance Crew" these dudes rule. With their powers combined!!!...they create an alright video, ha it's not the greatest thing ever but I'll support the effort.

Eye Candy
Music video time. Grab some popcorn and click away.
Big Phony - Girls Like You Don't Go For Guys Like Me [Music Video] from The Mighty Fifty on Vimeo.
I am not in love with this video but I do like the idea of it. It's nice to see the kind of normal Asian guy as a protagonist. I am definitely a fan of Big Phony though. He does that Mangina music that I love and he does it well.
Here is another one from him and The Mighty Fifty.
Big Phony - Short Intermission *Official Music Video* from The Mighty Fifty on Vimeo.
Here is an Esna video also done by The Mighty Fifty. The Mighty Fifty does good work, just nice high quality looking film. Put a good musician in front of a camera, what else do you need?
Check out the Bangerz and San Jose Taiko performing "Robot Remains" live. I am pretty sure these dudes used to be called the Finger Bangerz and I saw them for free at hip hop in the park back in the day. I guess they are all grown up and have dropped the, Finger, part of their crew name, it's probably better that way. I doubt San Jose Taiko returns your phone calls if your name is The Finger Bangerz. Finger what? *Click* Enjoy an awesome culture clash; Japan vs. Hip Hop.
Last but not least the simple awesomeness of the new Cee-Lo video. New as in it's been tearing across the interwebs for a couple of weeks now. Late or not, it's a solid track.
