Hip Hop Mix 8

I think the hip hop mixes are just barely more popular than my country mixes.  Meaning two people grabbed the hip hop ones and one person got the country.  So with that in mind who wants some new hip hop?

Mac Miller has some skill, he has two songs on the mix.  How throwback does this video sound?  Well done child, well done.

Tracklist and download link behind the jump.

He seems grounded...
Kanye makes an appearance on this mix.  Which may be a surprise to those who know how I feel about the diva.  Sometimes he just demands to be listened to though.  Usually when the part he plays in a song is insignificant and can be ignored in lieu of the rest of the participants and parts of the song.  This happens to be the case with his song, "Joy."  First of all the song samples Curtis Mayfield which is just unfair.  You say Curtis and I run into the room with ears and robe open...it doesn't stop there though.  The track is produced by Pete Rock OMG *fans self* and it features Jay-z.  So those elements tip the scales away from the fact that Kanye is in the room.  That's how you trick the system Kanye, well played.

Fashawn slipped through this mix, not that I have problems with him.  I actually love him, what I don't like is Usher and R&B.  Fashawn uses both of these elements in his "Papers remix."  He makes it through because he is Fashawn and the song is about a different kind of papers than Ursher's song.

This mix also has MF Borat, which supposedly is a combination of MF Doom and Sascha Coen.  They have the song, "So Good To Me."  I have no idea what Borat has to do with this, since the song just steals the Menahan Street Band song, that Diddy stole, for Jay-z's, "Roc Boys" track.  Since I love that beat I don't really care what the deal is.
