The All Hip Hop edition of Eye Candy.
Dumbfoundead's video for his song, "Love Is A Song." Download the track here.
ACTION BRONSON - BEAUTIFUL MUSIC from dallas penn on Vimeo.
Big Action Bronson fan right here. Check out this awesome video of him as the dude from, Frosty? Rudolph? One of those old school animated joints we used to watch back in the day. He looks much less likely to murder you in animated form.
STS sure gets posted a lot around here. What can I say? I think he's got skill.
Are there other people putting in work, I should be checking on? I swear I just post videos from the same three dudes over and over. If only I had a new Sean Price video.
Here is someone we haven't posted in awhile. Still not new though, I have been listening to him since college. *waves goodbye to staying on top of new music*
This is mostly being posted because of the image. The Schroder of hip hop...genius.

Eye Candy
Oh Jane. Jane Lui has been featured on Eye Candy before. Weren't we just talking about how this is one of the theme songs that warrants being covered? Well I know I was, I just didn't think anyone was listening. You have answered my prayers Jane.
Dumbfoundead featuring Andrew Garcia- BRB. I really liked Andrew when he was on American Idol. I was like, I would buy that dude's album...I don't really know if he has an album, I kind of broke that promise, but I'll post his video. Even though I don't really think it's that great. He is doing that R&B style chorus in a hip hop song that I am not a fan of. He has a nice voice though and I do like Dumbfoundead.
Wow Biggie can sound good over anything...including Thomas the Tank Engine. That Train is gangsta!!!
Minji Aye Hong did such an awesome reworking of this movie title sequence for the Japanese film, "Yoshino's Barber Shop."
Here is another one of her videos and it is equally awesome.

Compare that with the original. I have no interest in seeing this based on the original, but that new version could make me watch anything. Here is another one of her videos and it is equally awesome.

Eye Candy
Cookie Monster covering Tom Wait's, "God's Away on Business." And you thought he was just concerned with stuffing his face with cookies. Perhaps the state of the world drives him towards his addiction of confectionery delights, don't judge him!!! He is a tortured thinker.
Dumbfoundead's ode to green. Green is a lovely color, he should have Kermit do a guest verse on the remix.
Evidence and Fashawn. The first time I ever heard Fashawn rap was on an Evidence cut. He did a guest vocal and I was like who dat? Who would have thought that a couple of years later I would accidentally be let into the room while he soundchecked where I could make googly eyes at him and tell him the treble was too low.
BRAIDS - Lammicken from Mark Webber on Vimeo.
Braids, who will be coming to town for a show at the Bottom of the Hill are an excellent band. Sometimes I wish their songs weren't 9 minutes but if you have some time to kill, you could be taken on a worse sonic expedition than this.
Little short film on the singing doorman. He seems to be a happy man, I can't say I approve of vocalizations at work though. My co-workers are fucking horrible singers.
MÖBIUS from ENESS on Vimeo.
Pretty awesome stop motion street installation.
This is my favorite song from Donald Glover in his Childish Gambino form. Someone decided to match up the lyrics to, "Freaks and Geeks" with scenes from his NBC show Community.
Mac Miller is nice, he just has that delivery that an emcee should have. I am a fan of the kid.

Eye Candy
Sophie Madeleine did 30 covers in 30 days for the month of July. These are just two of the videos she did. She took requests for covers and the range of artists is pretty stellar. She even does a cover of Cult's, "Go Outside." You can check all of them out on her site here here.
Somebody thought that this was necessary...I am inclined to agree.
LITTLE SCREAM - Cannons / Heron and the Fox from Mitch Fillion (southernsouls.ca) on Vimeo.
Nice live video of Little Scream.
Lia Ices - Ice Wine from Yours Truly on Vimeo.
Lia Ices was probably on a Yes Homo mix at some point.
I think I heard some lyrics about not being a slave to the radio in this song. Yet this sounds exactly like something they would play on the radio or in a club. I think he has nice flow, even introspective, coherent, and intelligent lyrics, it just funny that it has that radio friendly packaging (ohhh auto-tune.) I may not like the song for that video but Gowe impressed me on his track, "Don't Phase Me" and a couple of other tracks off of his, "Beautiful Journey LP." Check that out below.
This doesn't sound like a song that you would hear on the radio. I like Dumbfoundead, but this is not one of my favorite tracks from him. The song definitely has lyrical content, deep themes, and heart. The video looks great, just wasn't nodding my head and getting my Tony Yayo on. Check out his website for more info on him.
Brilliant Colors - 'Round Your Way from Slumberland Records on Vimeo.
Nice song, the video was shot in San Francisco.Tuesday, May 25, 2010
Free Music
Here is a free song from DumbFoundead, Jay Park, and Clara C!, called "Clouds." It's a little too Kumbaya for me, but that's because I only listen to music about moving o's and ho's.
Free Download
Ahhh now this is more like it.
I have no idea what this is but I can tell I am going to like it. You know how all of the BEST comedies have the white poster with the red lettering?

Just like how once I see that white poster with red lettering I know I will be laughing hysterically about improbable family hijinks and stressed out zany parents dealing with their children. When I see a mixtape cover with that metallic sheen style font like the gold I yearn to drape around my neck and encase my teeth with, I know it will be great. All of the best mixtapes have large amounts of money, chains, and computer generated cities full of people that look like Armand Assante. If you seriously want it, you can grab it via Nahright.
One last bit of uselessness. Apparently everyone but me knew that Artie, from Glee, was in a boy band. I am not sure whether I get plus or minus points for not knowing this. I am leaning towards plus.
